LEGO® Minifigure parts
ToyPro has a wide assortment of LEGO® minifigures, but can I make my own? Of course you can! Put together your own minifigure with the body, legs, head and hair of your choice. All necessary parts can be ordered separately here. This way you can build your own custom LEGO® minifigure.
Two different LEGO® heads
Select the sub-category head and you will see all available separate heads that you can use to build LEGO minifigures.
The heads come in two standard varieties: heads for a minifigure and heads for a minifigure. The widely known LEGO® head is the head of a minifigure. With the appearance of the Friends theme, a new head has been added. Compared to the standard LEGO head, the head of the minifigure has a nose and a chin making the head look more natural. The tops of the two heads are the same, so all hair and headgear fit on both heads.
The bottom, however, is different. Thus, the minifigure head fits only on a minifigure hull and the minifigure heads fit only on the torsos of minifigure heads.
Both LEGO heads have the height of 1 brick.
The standard LEGO head comes, without imprint, in different colors. Without the imprint of a face, the head is actually an ordinary LEGO building brick. Thus, you can often find the transparent version in lampposts or other street lights. If you really want to light up your LEGO house or street, consider the lighting sets or parts.
If you look very closely, you will see that there are 3 variants of the standard LEGO head. One with a closed stud (with pingat), one with a hollow stud and one with an open stud. Only for a limited number of cases do you notice this. Usually it has no construction implications.
Two variants of LEGO® hull
Select the torso sub-category and you will get all the available bodies. Enough choice to build your own LEGO® figures.
For the typical LEGO figure, there is one appropriate size, namely torso. The torso with arms, however, comes in lots of different colors and color combinations and with a variety of prints. From police uniform to summer T-shirt.
With the appearance of the LEGO® Avatar theme, a torso was added; the same torso but with longer arms. You can now find them only on the LEGO Avatar minifigures. The torso with long arms will also be available soon at ToyPro as a separate minifigure part.
Also for the small LEGO figure there is one fitting basic body. The choice in loose torsos for the mini dolls is not yet as large as the standard torso for minifigures. Logical, since mini dolls have only existed since 2012, but ToyPro is regularly expanding the collection.
Two types of LEGO® legs and multiple leg lengths.
Select the leg sub-category for an overview of all available legs. At ToyPro plenty of choice to build your own LEGO® figures.
The legs for the typical LEGO minifigure now come in three lengths. The short legs are mostly used for child or young minifigure versions, dwarfs, gnomes and Ewoks. These non-movable legs have a height of 1 brick (= 3 plates).
The "regular" legs have a hinged hip. This allows the legs to move independently and allows the minifigure to bend. The standard minifigure has legs with hip. The legs with hip have a height of 1⅔ stone (= 5 plates).
A shorter version of the "regular" legs with hinged hip exists only since 2018. With the appearance of the growing LEGO® minifigure Harry Potter, there are also short legs with hip. These short legs make the minifigure slightly larger: 1 plate. In fact, short legs with hip are 1⅓ brick (= 4 tiles) in size.
With the appearance the LEGO® Avatar theme at the end of 2022, the long version of the "normal" legs is back. You will now find the long legs with hip only on the LEGO Avatar minifigures and Woody, the long toy cowboy from Toy Story. The larger legs have a length (height) of 2 ⅔ brick (= 8 plates). The long legs with hip will also be available soon at ToyPro as a separate minifigure part.
